Jonathan Cape 1959 (318 pages): NEAR FINE-to-FINE book and jacket, featuring exceptionally good condition first state (five reviews of Dr No) unclipped jacket. DJ bright and vivid and beautifully clean back and front. Spine has virtually no evidence of ant daylight exposure with just the merest hint of rubbing to spine tips. Boards are pristene with as-new gilding. Book is the significantly rarer 'extra skull indent' variant - found in only the  earliest of books in the very small 24,000 first edition print run. Internal pages and page block are both exceptionally white, with barely any paper aging. All internal pages are mark-free. A super rare variant in super-rare excellent condition.
