The Spy Who Loved Me: 1st Edition 1st Impression
Jonathan Cape 1962 (221 pages): EXCELLENT condition, with superior unfaded and vivid unclipped first state (15s) dust-jacket cover, showing none of the usual chipping and rubbing to the jacket or sunning to the spine. Back of jacket shows minor spotting. Absolutely no internal marks of any sort; no inscriptions or annotations or foxing/spotting. All pages are white and clean and in as-new condition. Bright gilding to tight, square boards. Text block, creamy-white. A fantastic copy of this very low print-run book. At just 30,000 1st/1st copies printed, The Spy Who Loved Me's first edition run was barely half that of Thunderball a year earlier. Numerically, The Spy Who Loved Me is closer to 1959's Goldinger for rarity.
