Diamonds Are Forever: 1st/1st
Jonathan Cape. 1956 (257 pages): Near-Fine This is an exquisite example of the very scare 4th Bond nove - print run of just 14,604 [Gilbert]. This example has all the attributes collectors want - square, tight binding, book edges sharp, cloth in superb condition, no splits to the gutter, no lean. The internal pages are in beautiful bright condition, without any of the typical foxing or spotting. Annotation and mark-free. Very clean (creamy white) page block, with barely any evidence of daylight exposure. Two areas of water marks to the inside front and end boards, but not at all showing through to the front boards, and not impacting internal pages. An altogether near-fine condition example of a numerically scarce book - one which increasingly difficult to obtain in collectible condition. Will be supplied with a correct-to-the-impression complementary high-quality facsimile jacket.
