Jonathan Cape. 1956 (257 pages): Near fine book; with Very Good+ Jacket. A very good+ condition example of this numerically scarce book (the first impression print run was just 14,604 [Gilbert]) - complete with its UN-PRICE CLIPPED, and correct first edition jacket [as denoted by the extra two lines of text pointing to press reviews of Moonraker and Live & Let Die on the back panel of DJ]. Save for a tiny piece of missing paper to the front of the jacket, and some very minor chipping to the top jacket edge, this rare book presents extremely well indeed. Some fading of the pink fuchsia colour to the DJ spine, but otherwise this is a bold, bright, clean and complete jacket.  (Note: The combination of a primarily black-printed jacket on thin paper conspires to leave this particular title very hard to find in better than good condition.  Book itself is in superb condition - clean, square and unbumped, with only the merest trace of forward lean. Exceptionally clean inner pages, which are all in excellent white condition, without any of the typical foxing or spotting. Also annotation and mark-free. A really super example. Page block with only light traces of sun exposure.  Altogether this is a very good+ condition example - one which increasingly difficult to obtain in collectible condition.
