An extremely clean example featuring title to DJ spine in deep orange (rather than having completely faded to yellow as is often the case with this book). This impression one of just 3,176 copies (Gilbert p 273). Comes complete with its correct third impression jacket (front flap now says 'Don't miss James Bond's aventures in GOLDFINGER'). This particular jacket features an overpriced Cape sticker of 16s covering an original price of 15s (3rd impression books carried both prices - the latter of which was the new price instructed in Jan 1963). Book boards and pages are in excellent, as-new condition, with no internal marks or spotting/foxing of any kind. Creamy white text block. A superb example of a very early edition of this book.
