From Russia With Love - Signet first printing 1958 (S1563)
A good condition example of this rare US first paperback printing. Cover art by Barye Phillips. When Signet Books (the paperback imprint of the New American Library), began printing Ian Fleming's novels, From Russia With Love was the first book it chose to print, and was published in September 1958. [Casino Royale, Live and Let Die and Moonraker Signets followed between 1959-60]. As with other Signets, this particular soft cover represents the 'first' time From Russia With Love appeared anywhere (globally) in paperback form. The UK Pan paperback did not appear until the following year, in April 1959. Apart from a partially rumpled spine, this book otherwise presents very well indeed, with a tight binding, square wrappers, and absolutely no internal markings or annotations. The inner pages are particularly bright. A good example of this now hard-to-find paperback.
