Live and Let Die: First edition 4th impression: 1958
Jonathan Cape. 1958 (240 pages): Near fine-to-fine-condition book and jacket. A FANTASTICALLY RARE 4th printing, complete with un-clipped jacket, in superb, almost new condition. With a print run of just 961 copies, only Moonraker's second printing was smaller (929) - meaning this one of the rarest editions of any James Bond novel. With survival rates substantially less, this is an absolute gem of a book - in a condition that rivals much, much newer editions. This book presents in a bright, clean, almost superlative jacket - with just a tiny tear to the lower edge of the front panel (which will close up to barely be noticeable when supplied in a protective Brodart sheet). As bold and unfaded as the day it was printed, this jacket is superb. The book is also in fine condition - with striking non-oxidised gold git to the spine and front board. Exceptionally clean inner white pages complete the package for what is truly a breathtakingly good book.
