A near fine, first printing of On Her Majesty's Secret Service. This book is notable for being the first time this title appeared in paperback form - beating the UK Pan export editions (impressions 1-3) by one full month, and the general-release UK copies by nine months. This was also the first Signet paperback to be printed by the New American Library. As the blurb on the front proclaims: 'First time in paperback.' This book presents in near-fine condition, with only very marginal creases to the spine. No bumping or spine lean; tightly bound, minimal signs of being read. The pages still 'spring back' if opened only slightly. Totally clean and unmarked internally. Tiny fold mark to very top corner of front wrapper, but barely noticeable. A very good example of what is a very hard-to-find book in the UK. A superb example for all US Fleming paperback collectors.
