Jonathan Cape, 1961 (254 pages): NEAR-FINE condition jacket in a fabulously FINE condition book. Dust jacket presents very well indeed, radiant and resplendent. With only very minor spine fade (and just a hint of sunning along the top of the face of the jacket) , this jacket is clean and bright, showing rich, vivid colours (especially the back panel). With just very minor bruising to tip of jacket this non price-clipped sleeve has bright internal flaps. Superlatively white, and bright internal pages - as new-looking as the day they were printed. All are clean and unblemished. White page block too - remarkably rare to find. Totally inscription and mark-free. Tight binding, sharp boards, gilt to panels and spine. No internal foxing or spotting marks of any kind. A superb book.
