Thunderball - first edition, first impression - 1961
Jonathan Cape, 1961 (254 pages): A NEAR-FINE condition book and jacket, of the book that put Bond back on track after the relative disappointment of the previous year's experimental (told in the first-person) , The Spy Who Loved Me. Jacket is clean, and unclipped, and presents brightly, with verdant greens. Shows just a trace of light rubbing to the tips of the DJ's spine, as well as minor wear to the corners. Otherwise in very good shape indeed. White and bright internal pages with no markings, annotations, names or foxing/spotting of any sort. Good clean (and white) page block too - difficult to find. Good, tight binding, sharp boards, gilt to panels and spine. Spine shows just a hint of rounding. An overall very good example of a title that is uncommon to find in presentable, collectable condition.
