You Only Live Twice First edition/first impression FIRST STATE 194

Jonathan Cape 1966 (256 pages): Very good condition. A book hard to find without some discolouration to the jacket (owing to the predominant use of yellows/greens - colours which tend to darken through sunlight). The true First State of the first impression - with the publishing information showing 'First Published 1964.' The 2nd state of the first impression says 'March 1964' and was originally intended to comprise the second impression. But it was decided that these already-bound books should be sold simultaneously with the first state book. Jacket is un-clipped jacket, with only light sunning to the spine (the delicate pink in the peony flower is still very much evident) . Note: Most copies of this book have terribly sun-browned jackets. Clean, tight boards; sharp and square. Bamboo-patterned endpapers. Internal pages completely free of any marks/blemishes. No spotting/foxing or any other distraction. Creamy-white page block. A high quality example.
